Fitting VXT front splitters to the VX220

This really doesn't need a guide as it's about as hard as making toast (once you work out how rivets work) - but I thought a few pics might be comforting to those NA owners about to fit VXT splitters....

First up, tape them in place. This is probably the hardest bit, trying to get them straight, even, at the right height etc. I had to quickly nip onto the web to take a look at some VXTs to see exactly where they sit. The rear of the splitter should be flush with the wheelarch.

(tip, electrical tape isn't very sticky and keeps falling off - duck tape is much better).

Once in place, i got a small drill bit in my hand and marked where the holes are:

Next, take the splitters off and drill the holes for real. I had to jack my car up to get enough space to fit the drill under the car. The size of the hole needs to allow the rivet to fit snugly:

Now, hold the splitters in place and fix the rivets into the holes with a rivet gun. Job done

Mostly straight forward, just make sure you've got the jack and a rivet gun handy before you start otherwise you'll have to make an emergency trip to Halfords.
